Welcome to any new readers we have. To update everyone.... We bought land back in July and we are going to start building a brand new home. We should be starting construction soon.

Settlement for construction was this past Monday. We should have all the permits soon and be able to break ground before the end of October. Everything for our house seems to be going as planned... we haven't had to pick out too much stuff yet. I can't wait til that starts!!! Once they start building I will try to post progress pictures. Hopefully our winter is mild, and they can make some good progress before it starts snowing. I am probably driving Marcus crazy, I am already trying to think of where to hang pictures, store dishes, and all that.
A side note on my health. Last week we went down to Jefferson, and scheduled surgery... but I was real uneasy about it, so I called my Primary Thyroid Doctor and set up a meeting with her. Without going into too much detail we are going to try some other things first. They took me off my thyroid hormone medicine, which should leave me feeling pretty crappy for the next 6 weeks, but they want to run a few tests. They will then see what the tests show, and maybe do a full dose I131 radiation treatment (if you are unsure what it is click here http://www.clinicalrad.com/dnews/Treatment/thyroid. Say a prayer for me, that they can do some other things and kill the cancer inside my neck, without surgery.
