the latest

so... we received the completed appraisal back today, finally! Everything is all good and we are now ready to finish up our loan process and get our money. One of the things we have to do before we can close will be to list our house. I really didn't want to use a Realtor, mainly because I don't want to pay them any money... but I guess we will be using one anyway. So we need to do a few things to the house first and get it listed so we can settle on our new construction loan and start building. I am hoping start construction at the end of September or early October.
A funny story, Marcus and I went up to the land last week to mow the yard. It was rather high and we didn't want the borough to call us because any neighbors complained. Well we took the push mower, since it's all we own and Marcus started to mow. Right away it stalled out because the grass was so high.. It was a little comical looking at this half acre lot that we had to mow with a push mower and now thinking we wouldn't even be able to get thru it because of the high grass. Then we see the guy from across the street come over on his big John Deere sit mower and say he would help us out. He pretty much mowed the entire yard for us. It was very nice of him. We offered him some gas, money, something, anything?? But he didn't want anything so I told him I would bake him something once we moved in.
We met another neighbor also. The people who now rent from the people we bought the land from.. they have the 4 1/2 acres adjacent to our land and they just got a horse. So they have bees, a horse and a pot belly pig. They also seemed pretty nice, they even expressed how happy they were to not have to mow our yard anymore. So we have a landscaper coming monday to mow for us.

A quick note on my health status. I had the MRI and Ultrasound, I just need to get some blood work done. My primary physician called with the MRI results and said  there was no metastatic disease. Which is odd because that's what all these tests are for.. So I will be interested to see what the doctor at Jeff says. I find it very interesting with all these different pictures they see of my neck.. I am no doctor, but I have always been curious as to which one shows the most? Which is better? and MRI? Ultrasound? something different?? The biopsy said I had some cancer somewhere... So we will see what is in store for me on the 29th of September.
I will make sure we don't schedule settlement that day!

Hopefully next time we post, we can start showing some cool pictures of the start of construction.. Can't Wait! I will leave you with a nice view of the lot.. the one thing I have noticed.. we have some awesome views up there!
