Thought I would update everyone on the most recent goings on..
my health first - I had my appointment at Jefferson two weeks ago, and they want to run some tests on me before surgery. The Doctor wants the tests done at Jeff, but insurance does not... So I am going to make a few calls this coming week and see what I can do. Worst case is those tests will need to be done at Grandview.
Without going into too much details, when I had my original surgery to remove the thyroid they damaged one of my vocal cords. I guess you can do ok without one... but these lymph nodes which are cancerous are on the side of my healthy vocal cord... they cannot damage that one or I will be in big trouble! So... They want to see what they are up against before sending me under the knife. I asked the doctor if he was confident, he said yes (but what else can he say) I know its all in God's hands... I will be fine. But scared none the less.
I have also been coughing on and off for most of 2011 it seems, not sure what it is.... but please keep me in your prayers that there is nothing more serious going on.
On to happier news... We received our final house plans.. they are great! We are really excited!! I am in the process of getting an appraisal done on our house "as completed" I hope that comes in at the value we need, then we will be able to move forward, get our loan and get building. We will most likely be putting Arch Street up for sale soon. If you know anyone interested let us know... So things are moving along on the house, we are really ready and so are our dogs. Steps have become quiet a problem for them. The new house will most likely only have an 8 inch step up to the house... YAY!
I don't think we told everyone which house we decided on, its House #3 from the previous post.
The "Galen" by Alan Mascord, with some alterations. We added 2 feet to the garage and Master Bedroom/Bath/Laundry, I am really excited about a nice laundry room, how about some lime green counter tops?? I will leave you with a picture of our plans.. from a far.
